The Summerland Citizens Association (SCA) has maintained the Edison lamp post encroachment permit for over two decades, supporting a long-standing community tradition of displaying American flags year-round.

The Summerland Community Foundation (SCF) fully funds this program—providing all flags, brackets, and poles, along with installation, seasonal display, ongoing maintenance, and holiday placement and removal.

This collaboration ensures that Summerland’s streets reflect a shared sense of pride, respect, and community year-round.
